A prominent piece of information included with our company reports (and viewable when you carry out a Company Search) is the registered office of the company. So what is the registered office?
• The registered office is the official address for a UK Limited Company
• Both Companies House and HMRC will send mail to the registered office
• The address can be any address in the UK where the directors of the company are contactable (including via mail)
• The registered office does not have to be where the company conducts its business
• The registered office can be changed but can’t be moved between UK Countries (Apart from England to Wales and vice-versa)
• The registered office is on the public register and available to everyone – hence its appearance in company reports
