What is the Company Tracker?

The company tracker is a service whereby we email you whenever a change occurs to the company you are tracking. We will email you when:

Annual returns have been filed

Annual accounts have been filed

Officers are appointed

Officers resign

The share capital changes

The credit limit changes

The credit rating changes

The email we send looks like this:

We would like to notify you of the following changes to this report:

New Annual Return filed

Why should I track my own company?

For security reasons. If your company is signed up for the Companies House PROOF Service (Protected Online Filing Service) paper documents will no longer be accepted by Companies House. However, if not signed up for PROOF Companies House will continue to accept paper documents “on good faith”, meaning someone could theoretically resign your current directors and appoint new ones fraudulently via these paper documents.

Now firstly we would recommend signing your company up for PROOF but if you don’t want to do that we suggest purchasing a company tracker for your company. This way you will be notified whenever your company makes a change, with or without your permission. If a fraudulent change does take place you can contact Companies House immediately before any serious damage is done.
