The vast majority of the base information (co. name, number, registered office, status, sic code & stat dates) in our company reports is taken directly from Companies House, specifically from the incorporation documents and annual returns. Information such as the trading address and the telephone number is taken from various business directories.

Our Fully Comprehensive company credit reports include company share information… if a company has filed an annual return. If an annual return has not yet been filed the shareholding section of the report will be blank. Share information is then updated whenever a new return is filed (a new report will need to be purchased to see the new share situation).

The Standard Credit and Fully Comprehensive company credit reports both include director information. So where do we source this information?
All of the director information found in our reports is sourced from Companies House. The initial information is taken from the company’s incorporation documents, updates are taken from annual returns and filing changes (such as appointments, resignations and edits).

Our company credit reports are not restricted to active limited companies; we can also provide reports on dissolved limited companies. To include dissolved companies in your company search, select “Advanced Search” from our homepage, tick “Include Dissolved” and then complete your search as per usual. The results will now include active and dissolved companies that match your search term.

Unfortunately not. However, if you use our “Advance Search” you can search via the company number (which never changes). If you don’t have the number, take a look at the Companies House webcheck. This has a function that allows you to search via old company names, you can then find the new company name.

Yes, very easily. For £2.50 we can provide you with an electronic copy of a UK company’s certificate of incorporation. Simply search for your limited company from our homepage, click on the correct company and then wait for a list of documents to load. The certificate is part of the “Newinc – Incorporation Documents” document, select “add to basket” next to this and then complete the payment process. The document will then be delivered to your account.

If a limited company has not filed any accounts, company reports will not include any account information. Therefore if you’re purchasing a company report just for account information check that the company has filed accounts first. To do this enter the company name on our homepage, select the correct company on the results page and then wait for the following page to load up. A list of any account company documents filed with Companies House will appear, check if accounts have been filed and then proceed accordingly.
