If you purchase company credit reports with us you may notice that the “Turnover” in the “Accounts” area is sometimes zero, even if you know that the company has been trading. This is because of a “Disclosure Threshold” whereby *small companies do not have to file turnover or detailed profit and loss accounts with Companies House.

*A company is deemed to be small if it meets two of the following conditions:

• Annual turnover no more than £6.5 million
• Balance sheet total no more than £3.26 million
• No more than 50 employees

Our company search function searches for limited companies by default. The following company types all fall under the limited company category:

• Private Limited by Shares
• Limited by Guarantee
• Limited Liability Partnership

This information is provided in our Fully Comprehensive company report (available for £5.45) and can be found in the “Group Structure” tab once the report has been purchased. Please note that if there is no group structure in a company this area of the report will be blank.

Therefore, if you’ve lost track of what your company has filed and when, we can help. Simply search for your company from our homepage. You’ll then be presented with a list of what has been filed (including company accounts online) along with the option to purchase any of these filed documents.
